Well, we definitely hit the ground running the morning we got back from our wonderful vacation. So much for laying in the sand and soaking up the sun!! As exhausted as we were, I think we were also completely elated and walking on Cloud 9...it was so wonderful to finally be moving into our home! To make a long story short, we were planning to do the whole 'build a house while we attempted to sell our house' and just hope that those two events coincided. After much thought and prayer (and the economy basically crashing!), we decided it would be best to sell our old home, move into a rent house, build our house, and then move in. All in all, it was about a year and a half process. Even though there were times that it seemed like we would never actually and truly 'get there', I'm glad that we did it the way we did. We DEFINITELY grew as a couple and as a family, and it was wonderful to not have the stress of hoping beyond hope that we didn't end up with 2 mortgages!! We love our house!! I really did not take many pictures at all the day we moved in...there were so many other things to be done! And, we still have not taken any pictures of the 'final product' of the outside of our house. I'll have to do that soon and post them!! Here are the few pics that I did take....
How pathetic is this? These are pics of the boys their last night in our rent house. I mean...I had stripped their sheets and everything...we were ready to move!! I have no idea why, but I have this 'thing' with capturing the 'lasts'. I have pictures of their last night in our old home as well. Even though our rent house was not the most 'ideal' situation, we have some wonderful and COZY memories there! :)
