And in the meantime....

These two boys have not missed a beat and have stayed true to their 'silly' nature!! Jay and Logan have truly 'adjusted' to Noah so well. As a parent, you always worry/wonder how your other children will adjust with a new baby, and it has been as if they have known him forever. It was so funny because we brought both the boys into the hospital room to meet Noah for the first time, and neither one of them even acted like it was anything out of the ordinary. In fact, Jay walked up to the bed, said 'Hi Noah!', kissed him on the cheek, and then went on his way. It was so funny!! I have told Trey so many times that they both acted like they already knew him...it was so odd! There are definitely some exhausting things about having children so close in age, but I think this is definitely a positive. They are both so young that they just kind of take life as it comes and don't question anything...not to mention that Jay has had a younger brother for 19 months already so it is nothing new for either of them to share the attention. :)

Here are a few funny 'brotherisms' that I don't want to forget:
(These are just for me to remember, and will probably be boring to anyone else!! :)
  • Jay always calls Noah by his full name....Noah Walker (and it goes up at the end like a question).
  • Jay daily asks me to put Noah down on the floor so that he can walk. He also asks for me to have him 'talk'. If Noah ever does make any kind of noise, Jay will excitedly say, 'Noah Walker talkin!'
  • Any time Noah is eating and you can hear him swallowing, Jay will say, 'Noah Walker choking'. He will then follow up by asking him, 'You OK, Noah Walker?'
  • We have an over sized chair that I normally sit in to feed Noah. Jay will climb up into the chair, squeeze himself next to me, and lay his head against Noah's while he is eating.
  • Logan has become the 'King of Kissing' as far as Noah is concerned. He LOVES to give him kisses!! He will come up any time he sees Noah and kiss him on the head.
  • If Noah is ever laying on the bed, couch, etc...Logan will walk up beside him, put his thumb in his mouth, and then lay his head against Noah's head and just stand there next to him.
  • In the car, Logan has to have his hand on Noah. He will normally lay his hand on Noah's leg or stomach and ride the entire time like that. So sweet!
