This is a little late, but I had the most WONDERFUL Mother's Day this year!! Such a fun and special day especially being a first-time mom. We went and ate lunch with Trey's family and then my Mom and Dad came and kept Jay while Trey and I went to the Carrie Underwood concert. It was WONDERFUL!! For those of you that don't know, I LOVE LOVE LOVE country music and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Carrie Underwood. We had so much fun! I think I literally sang every word to every song. I was so hoarse by the end of the concert. I actually tried to video her on my phone and when I played it back later, all I could hear was myself singing!! I did not realize I was singing that loudly!! :) It was such a busy day and I did not get a single picture of Trey and I with our moms or Jay with his grandmothers. I am so sad! But, we have such an amazing legacy of moms on both sides!! To my wonderful mother-in-law, thank you for raising such an amazing boy and man in Trey. Through your love and devotion to his life, I am blessed to have a husband that is strong in character, has an amazing work ethic, and love for life and laughter!! And to my mom, thank you for your countless hours of prayer, long conversations, amazing wisdom, and friendship!! It was not until I became a mother that I realized what an AMAZING gift we both have in our mothers. I have told Trey so many times since having Jay that I feel like we should go to both of our parents and say, "WE REALLY DO LOVE YOU TOO!!" I cannot tell you how many times Trey and I have said to each other, "Everything we are and have become, we owe to the prayers of our moms!" Thank you seems so inadequatefor all of the love, labor, thoughts, worry, prayers, frustrations, joys, disciplines, and self sacrifice each of you have devoted to our lives, but THANK YOU! I love you both dearly and PRAY with all my heart that I can carry on the legacy of amazing motherhood. I have some huge shoes to fill!
