And just to make me sad.....here are a couple pics of Jay the first time he went to Children's. He is SOOO tiny!! How on earth has he grown up so quickly?!?!? He looks like such a baby here, and looks like such a big boy in the above pictures. Oh my...I have to stop or I will be sobbing!! Thank you, Lord, for this sweet boy, for his health, and for the gift of being his 'Mama'...what a blessing to live in a place and day where medical issues are so quickly and easily taken care of!

Jay's Final Trip to Children's
Last Friday, Jay had his last and final 'procedure' at Children's Hospital. Jay was born with a tiny little spot on his right cheek. At first, we thought it was just eczema, but when he still had it on his first birthday, our pediatrician recommended that we see a specialist to have it lasered. To make a long story short, it ended up being an extra little organ (which one? we have no clue!) and Jay had it removed when he was about 19 months. He also had tubes put in at the same time. So, last Friday, he went in to have his tubes removed (because they had fallen out of place) and he also had a little bit of laser on his cheek to help with the scarring. We had to get up at 4am so it was a long day to say the least, but Jay did great!! This time around, it was very non-invasive and they didn't even have to give him full anesthesia...he just had the gas mask, but it feels so good to have it all over and done with and behind us!
It is probably the angle of the picture, but Jay looks so tall and grown up to me in this picture....these little scrubs always make me smile. So cute!!

They always give the patients some medicine that they call 'goofy juice' to help them relax so they are not upset when they get taken from their parents. Jay is HILARIOUS after he has this!! It is so funny because it is still his exact same personality, but everything is MAJORLY exaggerated! It is the craziest and funniest thing!! He was singing, laughing, giving out kisses, high fiving everyone....quite the entertainer! :)
