Giraffes & Cowboys & Pumpkins...Oh my!!

Yes... a giraffe, a cowboy, and a pumpkin was the combination in our household on Halloween. With a combo like that, who could ask for more?!?!? We had a fun-filled weekend with the boys! Saturday night, we took them around to see the family and then we went to the Fall Festival at our church. As always, they loved getting to see all of the family and then they had a great time at the festival. We got all kinds of candy, and the highlight of the night was that both of the older boys got to ride a horse for the first time. Random story... but for the past couple of weeks, every time we pass a cow or horse in a field (while driving), Jay will point out the horse or cow and then ask if we can put them in our car. When I tell him that probably won't work, he asks if he can ride them. So, when I saw the horse rides at the festival, I went and got in line for Jay to have his chance to ride a horse! :) Both he and Logan LOVED it! I thought they might be a little scared or intimidated, but both of them had a blast. I walked beside both of them and Jay would not even 'allow' me to touch the horse...he wanted to ride it completely by himself. Unfortunately, due to 3 small children, 3 costumes with moving parts, 3 Halloween buckets full of candy, and lots of other distractions...we didn't get a picture. :( Oh well!

Sunday night, the boys loaded up in the wagon and we went around and trick or treated in our neighborhood. Afterward, we came home and let them pass out candy to the trick or treaters. Trey and I laughed so hard because Jay and Logan would literally get delirious when kids came to our door. We have a glass front door that you can see through so they would see the kids in their costumes as they were walking up the sidewalk, and the boys would both start jumping up and down and screaming and laughing hysterically as they waited for them to get to the door. All the trick or treaters looked a little confused....like they weren't sure whether they were going to get tricked or treated. :) Needless to say, they loved all the excitement and Jay now calls all candy 'trick or treats'. After each meal, he asks if he may have a 'trick or treat'. So funny!

**They did get to see their 'Mimi and Pop' too, but we met up with them at the Fall Festival, and that is when chaos began :) so we didn't get any pictures with my fam. :( Obviously, I totally dropped the ball this year on pictures...we didn't even get a family shot. It was just such a crazy night!
