What a Weekend!

I am finally getting around to posting pictures from last weekend. We had such a fun weekend! March mardness, great basketball games, hoping and praying your bracket doesn't get busted (which mine did!), coloring Easter eggs, hanging out with family, going to see the daffodils at Wye Mountain, yummy food....it just doesn't hardly get any better than that! Easter has always been such a fun and special day! As Christians, it is such a crucial day to our faith as we celebrate the victorious defeat of death and rejoice in the fact that we do indeed serve a living Savior that is alive and at work in our lives! I always find myself waking up on Easter morning with a happy heart and a spirit of rejoicing and celebrating. As I get ready for church, it feels like I am getting ready to go to the greatest party on earth (and in my simple opinion, I think it IS the greatest party on earth...what a celebration)! Easter will also always have fond memories for Trey and I too because it was one year ago that we announced to our families that we were expecting. Last year, our families ate Easter dinner together and we decided to get a 'group shot'. As Trey took the picture, he said, "Everyone smile and say "Christina's Pregnant!" It was hilarious! And so fun to get everyone's faces on camera. (see picture above) I think it was disbelief for most of them because we had never even mentioned being ready for kiddos yet. All that to say, it was fun for Trey and I to reminisce about the change our life has taken in the last year! I have posted some pics from last weekend below.

Trey, Christina, and Jay on Easter 2008....how different our 'family' is this year! We love you so much Jay and already cannot imagine our lives without you!

Jay with Grandmother and Grandaddy

Jay with Pop, Mimi, Emma, Abby, and Ethan ("The Cousins")

Jay and his Daddy all dressed up in their suits (Jay is the perfect picture of why men must find those things so uncomfortable!)

Coloring Easter eggs with "The Cousins". Jay enjoyed the project from dreamland as he slept peacefully in his crib.

Mommy and Jay enjoying the flowers and beautiful weather at Wye Mountain.

Is that not the face of pure happiness?!?!

Hey! It almost seems like yesterday you were telling me you were prego and about the way you told your parents!! I can't belive it has already been a year. Jay looks so cute in his suit! I can't wait to see him again in person. :)

Love the pictures. It was a great Easter. Your Easter account was inspiring. You should write a book. We are so excited for you, Trey, and Jay.
