Go Uncle Todd!!

A few weeks ago, we had the GREATEST time cheering on my brother-in-law, Todd, (aka "Uncle Todd") in the LR Half Marathon. I do not know what it is about my personality, but I LOVE things like this. I literally could not sleep the night before. It was like being a child on Christmas Eve. I just get so excited about seeing someone you love do something so amazing, getting up early and being totally out of routine, chasing them all over LR and hoping that you make it to each spot in time to actually get to see them...it's just fun! I'm sure we were a sight for sore eyes that morning. I so wish we could have gotten a picture, but we had my sister, Sarah, pushing her two youngest in a double stroller; Trey pushing Abby (my sister's oldest) in another stroller; and me pushing Jay in his stroller. It was hilarious! We actually saw numerous marathon runners laughing AT us while they were running...the nerve!! It was fun to see the kids get into the cheering as well. At first, they were a little unsure of all the yelling at total strangers, but after a while, they totally got into it. I'm not sure that Abby (Sarah's 4 year old) knew exactly what to yell, so she just decided to begin yelling "Go Go Choo-Choo Train!!" at any and every runner that we passed. I know that had to encourage those runners beyond belief! Jay thoroughly enjoyed the race as well and slept peacefully in his stroller the entire time despite the constant jostling and yelling...now I know why they call it 'sleeping like a baby'. Todd did amazing!! He had a hip injury and had not run in over a month before the race, but decided to just go ahead and do it anyways....can you imagine?!?!?! We were so proud of him...way to go Uncle Todd!!

Uncle Todd's biggest fans and cheerleaders (Ethan - 2 yrs. / Emma - 1 yr. / Abby - 4 yrs.) "Go Go Choo-Choo Train!"

Glad to have another friend and new parent on the blogging world.

He's currently throwing a small fit, which is odd because he is usually really content. The Barium from yesterday may still be with him, which is difficult for them to pass.

Keep in touch.

Todd
