Rewind to Jay's Birthday!

I know I did a 'Happy Birthday' post on his actual birthday, but I still wanted to go ahead and post about Jay's party and the actual day. How on earth has it already been almost 2 months since then?!?! An older 'seasoned' mother once told me, 'Time flies. And it flies faster once you have children.' Oh so true!!
We had Jay's birthday party the Saturday before his actual birthday. As always, we had a full house with both of our families and had a fabulous time!! We made homemade pizzas, 'the cousins' made a few Christmas ornaments and crafts, we decorated Christmas cookies, Jay opened TONS of presents, ate cake and ice cream, and all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! Jay was all about trains this year so we went with somewhat of a 'train' theme. We thought it went perfectly since his 'big' gift from us was a train table!

Jay absolutely adores his Mimi and Pop...

...and he absolutely adores his Grammie and Grandad!

This boy got all kinds of goodies!!! It was unreal....and we still haven't had time to find a place for all of his wonderful toys!! :)

We got a few 'repeats'...great minds think alike!!! It was fine with Jay though!! At this age, it truly is, the more the merrier!! :)

A full house....we LOVE having our families so near by!! AND they are always so willing and do an amazing job at making such an effort to be at anything and everything for the boys!! It is truly the sweetest thing!

A few crafts and a whole lot of cookies!!

We decided to wait until Jay's actual birthday to give him his train table. We had to give it to him as soon as he woke up because there is really no way to 'hide' a very large train table from a 3 year old for very long! He LOVED it!! It was so funny because there really were no 'squeals of excitement' or 'outbursts of gratitude' (because that is normal for a 3 yr. old right?!?)....he basically just stood there and stared at it like he was completely mesmerized!!
This above picture is still a very common sight in our house. He just loves this train table!! It really was a great gift for him. If you are ever in the market for a train table, I would highly recommend this one by Imaginarium. (We bought it at Toys 'R' Us.) It is soooo much cheaper than the 'Thomas' train tables, but is still compatible with all the 'Thomas' trains. We really debated the whole 'train table' thing because I honestly did not want another large item to take up all kinds of space in our house, but I am so thankful that we got it for him!!!

The night of his actual birthday, we went to Play Time Pizza and had a BLAST!! Since it was a week night, we basically had the entire place to ourselves. It was so much fun!!
We started off with a yummy pizza buffet...

...as the birthday boy waited and waited to go play all the games!

Logan thoroughly enjoyed a little chocolate ice cream!!

Jay got to ride a Go-Kart for the first time!! He was barely tall enough to ride. In all honesty, I think it was his hair that actually 'touched' the line to make him tall enough, but they didn't question it!! He LOVED it!! Logan, Noah, and I were cheering them on and Jay would laugh, smile, and wave every single time they drove by. So cute!

Jay and 'Daddy' won a TON of tickets on the b'ball game!

And we had a 'mini' game of bowling. This was SOOO funny!! I don't think I have ever seen a ball go so slowly down a lane in all my life. It was like watching paint dry, but the boys loved it and would wait patiently for each ball to go all the way down the lane and loudly cheer as it sadly ended up in the gutter every time!!

My heart (and hands!) are so full of love for these sweet boys!! And yes, precious Noah did celebrate with us, but he happily slept in his carseat the entire time. We didn't even think to take a picture of him because we were so busy with the older two. So sorry Noah!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Jay!! We had such a fun time celebrating your birthday this year! I always love your birthday because I feel like it kicks of the Christmas season and we just continue celebrating for an entire month. We are STILL celebrating the day that God blessed us with your life and we always will. You are such a treasure and a true joy to parent!! Love you with all my heart!!
